"It Might Be Hope"
Just a brief entry this evening as I reflect on the phrase of this song I heard on the radio late last night which was meaningful to me. "Hope has a way of turning its face to you just when you least expect it." I've been thinking lately about how little John-Nathan has no clue about what's going to happen to him next week. Perhaps if he were older, he would have more of a sense of the despair of his own condition, and more of a longing for a change, a hope for a family and for a life beyond the plastered walls of his orphanage. Regardless, even now, just when he's least expecting it, God will bring hope to John-Nathan. Hope is such a wonderful thing, because it gives meaning to our life for today and purpose for tomorrow. The Bible says that Christ is our hope--just the Hope we need for our own desperate condition, and for a family and a life beyond this dusty earth. (PR)

I Peter states that we are begotten into a lively hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. That hope is more than modern english suggests. It is not a wishful hope. It is a living hope, just as if it is already done.
