Merry Christmas 2012

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
from
The Rosborough Family!

Thankful for the greatest gift ever given ~Jesus~ the Savior of the world! As Jack has learned to say, "God with us ~ Emmanuel."  We have been so encouraged to think on that phrase. Indeed, He is with us, and He is for us and we can rejoice! Grateful for all the Lord has done and is doing with our family.

Thankful for these three "hams!"

Below are some pictures from our Thanksgiving Day photo shoot. Jack wasn't too into it. The last picture in the series shows how happy he is to be done :)!

Blessed by these three!

The Connell Family

Scrinchy face!

Whew! Done with pictures!

Enjoying outdoors with the boys!

J-N loves to climb trees.

Julianna...her own self portrait! She's the photographer most of the time around here. We love our girl, and she continues to bring us such joy and blessings through her many talents. It is a busy junior year for her as she juggles school and her job at Chick-Fil-A.

John-Nathan is becoming a great reader and absolutely loves read-alouds, especially those with a bit of mystery woven in. He enjoys the great outdoors and riding his new 24" bike!

Jack is continuing to adjust to our crazy family beautifully! He is a bundle of three-year-old fun, soaking up everything!

Back in November, we were blessed with a sweet visit from Rebecca, MBHOH's pre-school teacher. Jack certainly knew her, and once he warmed up to her, he did sit and play with her. We continue to be so very grateful for the love and care Jack received at the Big Blue House those first couple of years of his life!

In action!

Finally, a quick hug!

Jack received a special package from Show Hope, the organization that runs the special care center, MBHOH, and that provides for grants for adoptive families.

He had the most fun with the packing material. :)

A precious lamb!

Another Show Hope Kid! Thankful to have two of those around here!

Hundreds of photos and a sweet note to Jack from Steven and Mary Beth Chapman.

This year we have been blessed to serve Show Hope at three concerts, volunteering our time to share our own story with others. They are late nights, and as you can see, one our five has dozed off in this photo!

John-Nathan's robot creation: a Papa and J-N project!

Jack as the robot with the new and improved head gear (Mom did need her colander back)! :)

Jack really likes stickers. Here he is during an Advent craft (Mary's song). He liked decorating his face.

John-Nathan shows off the finished craft.

A Saturday morning jam session!

Mom with all her children -- yes, Julianna is in the picture as the elf cow holding John-Nathan!

The boys thought it was pretty neat!

Thankful for all our friends and family. We've enjoyed already hearing from so many of you. May you have a blessed Christmas Day and a great start to 2013!

Just over 6 months home...

Well, folks, we WERE doing well to blog monthly, but alas it has slipped to a little over two months since the last post. Can we just say that life and its many joys, demands, and challenges have kept us busy!?  We'll try to catch you up with some pictures.

Our little guy turned 3. Thomas and Percy were the theme along with Mexican food....mainly because Jack loves chips and salsa and avocado--he likes to eat salsa by the spoonfuls! (We KNOW we picked this boy up in China, not Mexico!) Oh, yes, he did have Ramen noodles, too... Many joined us for a fun celebration. It is great to have the "firsts" with Jack!

Grandpa and Grandma with Jack

Now what is this...a box to climb on? That is fun!

Oh, you want me to unwrap it?  (He got the hang of it...)

Check out my new wheels!

With Brother and cousins

Gramma Duke and Grampa Doc are getting him ready for his first visit to Uncle Bub's BBQ

Loves his puzzles

Date night for Peter and Celinda (thankful to have that opportunity every once in a while!)
Game time with G and G.

While schooling J-N, Jack "made" a violin out of rulers...

Julianna is still here :). You "see" her in most of the photography! Below is one of the many subjects that keeps her busy, followed by many shots of some other subjects that keep her busy as well: her brothers!

Handsome young boy!

Love his scrinchy nose!

Action! On the move!

Below is a picture of our Jack at 10 months. This Thanksgiving we are very grateful for the care and love and joy he received at Maria's Big House of Hope.

And we are VERY thankful that we celebrate Thanksgiving with him here this year!
He can still fold himself over and play with trains.

Thanking the Lord for these treasures which He has entrusted to our love and care!
And finally a shot of Julianna, too! Mom lucked out on this shot!

A very Happy Thanksgiving to each of you! May you count your blessings one by one and SEE what the Lord has done!
