Today was another leisurely day--at least from the standpoint of not having any specific commitments. We had our usual morning routine of getting up and getting ready to head down for breakfast. John-Nathan again slept peacefully all night and ate heartily at breakfast. Our sole excursion was to pick up a couple of items at a store. We fixed lunch in the room, and Celinda and the children laid down for a nap. Julianna still is not feeling well--pray on. John-Nathan took a bite of his peanut butter cracker, then inspected the remaining portion in his hand--what's this?!? It was quite humorous. Here you see him trying his hand at the #1 national pastime...

Our coordinator picked up John-Nathan's passport this afternoon. This will serve as his ID to get him on flights, etc. He will get his immigrant visa from the US Consulate on Monday or Tuesday. We are packing now for our departure from here (Taiyuan). We will leave the hotel tomorrow at 6:40 a.m. to catch an 8:50 flight to Guangzhou. Scheduled arrival is 11:25. (PR)
Video P.S. 1) There was a wedding at the hotel today, so there was some extra "entertainment" outside for guests as they arrived. 2) We had fun sharing goldfish crackers today.

We are all standing around the computer having fun watching John Nathan (Abi,Bethany, Caleb & Benjamin) and they say...."You are so cute! You are adorable and we really like you! It is nice to see you smiling." Benjamin asks "do you want to play with my racecar"...he doesn't quite understand this whole virtual world yet ;-)
We can all hardly wait to meet him. We praise the Lord this all happened before the Olympics as was prayed. Hope you feel better soon Julianna. You are a great teacher! with love and prayers,
J & J and crew
Get well Julianna. You are such a great trooper with you folks and John-Nathan. What a great sister he adopted in this process. Way to go girl! I bet it was funny to watch the peanut butter hands at work. Kind of like us trying chop-sticks for the first time I am sure. Have a safe flight in a few hours time. Have really enjoyed the pictures and videos. Must admit we too go for the reruns. Interesting to see JN in other than "The Red Shirt." Take care and enjoy the flight and watching JN on his first flight. God is so good!

How sweet it was to "hear" your voice saying what you were writing that Celinda and "the children" laid down. How long we have all prayed with you for John-Nathan to make it "children"! Julianna - we are praying for you to feel much better as you travel today! What a great big sister you are. Love to you all and God bless you with as easy a travel day as possible.
Love and prayers,
Scott and Kathy

We thank & praise God for your sweet family & pray His supply of all your needs as you continue the "and back" part of the journey. Phil 4:19-20! Love Aunt Genie & Uncle Larry
More tears of joy! How precious to see and hear this little one rest, eat, play, and speak (in two languages!) with his forever family! We are so happy for you. We look at the photos and watch the videos several times a day--we can't seem to get enough. Julianna-we continue to pray for you. Only a few more days...
