...when our faith shall be sight. The Father is eager for us to see His Son, but His timing is His timing, and it is perfect. We, too, are eager to see the Lord Jesus Christ face to face. But we are also eager to see our little son for whom we have prayed but have only had glimpses of either through a snapshot or the briefest of commentary. How we look forward to seeing him face to face, too!
Today we RESTED. We had a leisurely wake up, enjoyed a wonderful breakfast buffet in the hotel, did some Bible reading, went over adoption paperwork and procedures with our coordinator (what we expected, but more fees...ugh), ventured out shopping a bit (very interesting to see various items and procedures in the supermarket!), played some ping-pong in the hotel rec center. (see photo - notice the Chinese men in the background who were, as you might imagine, very serious about their game!) We remembered the Lord before ordering in a couple of tasty Chinese dishes for dinner. We have been pleased with the hotel and its service thus far. (see photos looking out our 12th story hotel room window)
Our appointment is not until 3:00 on Monday afternoon (2:00 a.m. CST). We plan to post Monday evening for your Monday morning viewing pleasure! We're almost there!! (PR)

We know you are thankful now for the rest you have had....and we thank the Lord for the "handful of purpose" He has given you to rest and enjoy the local marketplace. There is more "colorful" experience in a nonperfect journey and He has entrusted it to you. We all are riding the ups and downs like a virtual rollercoaster and praying each step. I have the night watch at work tonight in the "sky box" and L will accompany me. We will be praying for the "arrival" during the appointed hour. We are thankful that you have gotten some rest and will watch for the next post.

We hope this day goes beautifully for you! Please tell Julianna that as Lauren was looking at the pictures from the Great Wall, she recognized the small yellow mister she was holding. She was very surprised to see Julianna with something on the other side of the world that she had used at Bibletimes Marketplace just a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed very much in the Alabama heat.

Hi, this is Tina Sumpter - from your parents' church. I've been praying for your family every day. I am sorry for the difficulty of your wait - but I have to tell what I've been praying. I've prayed every day for your little boy to have dreams of his daddy, mommy, and big sister. I've prayed that these nightly dreams will be so vivid that he can see your precious faces, hear your loving voices, and even be comforted by the aroma of your presence, so that when he does finally meet you in person for the first time - there will already be an attachment and familiar bond. So, the way I'm looking at this last night of waiting is this: it's one more night of God preparing this precious child just before his most wonderful dreams come true!

Aren't you glad Jesus was willing to travel as far from Heaven as He possibly could to pay the price for our adoption into His 4ever family! And aren't we glad He is the God of all! of both Heaven AND earth!? What a mighty God we serve!

We can only imagine the anticipation right now in your hearts as you are counting down the hours until you see John-Nathan.....4 1/2 from this writing to be exact! What an amazing journey the Lord has taken your family on to get to this day. "All the way my Savior leads me, what have I to ask beside?
