"Thanks be unto God who giveth us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ!" That's John-Nathan's middle name. God brought him to us just before 4:00 today after an agonizing wait in a rather drab room and building. The assistant orphanage director came in first, holding the little care package we had sent John-Nathan over a month ago. That was encouraging; his little blue puppy was outside the package. The director said that the nanny had stopped with our little guy for a bathroom break down the hall. Then he came toddling in shortly after! We recognized him immediately despite his fresh haircut! He had a slightly guarded look to him, but had obviously been "coached" to call us mommy and daddy, which he did. Between a little car, his dog "Bleu" (as we call him), and some treats, we got some smiles and chuckles out of him. The nanny said that everyone in the orphanage was sad to see him go!
The only paperwork was verifying who we were and also signing that we understood that we had a 24 hour period during which we could return him--right! The orphanage had typed out answers to our questions which we had provided them in advance. We thanked them for everything and parted for today. We will see the orphanage officials again tomorrow to finalize the paperwork. After getting a family picture taken, we were on our way back to the hotel--our little family of four all in the back seat of a small taxi with no seat belts! Thank you Lord for protecting us!
When we got back to our room we played a little bit with some stacking toys and continued with the snack treats. He DOWNED a little bottle of sweet milk. But he did not want anything to do with a bath, nor having his shoes or clothes removed. He showed us for the first time that he knew how to cry. He and mommy cuddled in a chair and he settled down, falling asleep shortly thereafter.
Hmmm...what's next when he wakes up?!?!

Glad I waited up to see the post just before falling asleep. We praise Him for the joy He gives in the morning. We will continue to pray for the remainder of the way. J
Praise the Lord! What joy! You all 4 look wonderful!! Do Proverbs 3:5&6 and God will lead you all 4 on the next steps in your journey when John-Nathan wakes up. Love to you & prayers continue. Love A. Genie & U. Larry
He is absolutely adorable. Praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ for keeping you all safe and bringing this day to be. I noted the proud papa, sister and mama looks in you all. That is so precious to see. It seems almost too real and yet unreal. Sounds like all boy with no bath and "keep my shoes on please." Cute.

Q-are any of you going to be able to sleep tonight? or are you going to take "shifts" just watching him sleep?!LOL. How the Lord has blessed you all. As you can tell by the posting times on the Comments, everyone here in the States has been anxiously waiting on these pictures and none of us were disappointed. Praying for you 4 still.

Bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me Bless His holy name. When words fail our earthly vocabulary, we can call out with the Psalmist. John Nathan Sheng Rosborough is officially here. Not yet has become NOW. Grandma and I are very excited and He has exceeded all our expectations. We now have eight grandchildren, C, J, L, E, J, J, J, and J-N. We give thanks to God.
Love grandpa/dad and grandma/mom.

Oh my! Brought tears to my eyes!
Actually, they are threatening to spill over!
Brings back so many good memories for me.....& knowing....just knowing EXACTLY how you feel.
Words fail to describe the feeling....really they cannot communicate it!
Enjoy your time together as you adjust to being a family of four!
Psalm 98
1O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.
2The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.
3He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.
5Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.
6With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King.
7Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
8Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together
9Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.
Praying that your time together is sweet.....& unforgetable.
