What a day this has been. We had a 4:00 rise to be ready for our supposed early-morning departure. When we arrived at the airport, we learned that we would have to change our flight until a later one in day, which itself was delayed. Although we were at the airport before 7:00, we didn't take off until 3:10! (By the way, we were the only non-Asian looking people on the whole flight!)
We arrived in Taiyuan an hour later, where our coordinator was waiting for us. When she informed us of the schedule, we learned that we would not be receiving John-Nathan until Monday afternoon at 3:00. This was a big change from Sunday morning at 10:00! We will not go into any of the details/possible explanations as we understand them; suffice it to say, it was the "icing on the cake" for a banner travel day!
We're exhausted now and just want to crawl into bed--well, two thirds of us already has, uh, have...whatever. We are trying to console ourselves with the need for rest tomorrow, but it still doesn't seem to fill the void and disappointment left by the change of plans. One extra day can seem like forever! Please pray about this delay.
Apologies for no pictures (what people really visit blogs for). We'll try to do better tomorrow... (PR) 11:00 p.m.

We're sorry your Saturday was a hard day. The Lord knows about your delay, and we're praying that you will be able to see Him working all of these things together for good.
We've enjoyed all the pictures, but we visit the blog for news from y'all! Thanks for posting.
Love from all the Smiths
Oh, dear.....
I hope you guys get some rest, & I TOTALLY understand the difference one day can make. How dissapointing!
Praying for God to intervene on your behalf & bring John-Nathan into your arms on Sunday....but if not, that you will be able to rest in His perfect timing.
Psalm 27:14
"Wait on the LORD:
be of good courage,
and He shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the LORD."
Dear friends! We are sorry for the speedbump in your journey....especially after such a long day of delayed travel! Hopefully HIS appointment in the change will help comfort your disappointment. He has clearly had a specific time-line in this whole process...which has not always made sense! We pray you will get some rest and refreshment tomorrow as you wait for Monday at 3:00. We're on pins and needles here waiting with you and praying with/for you!
We Love You! The Wortmans
P.S. We missed you at the fireworks last night!!!! :)
We work on a twenty-four hour clock and God works on timeless eternity. He has never been late nor too early. We, on the other hand, sometimes don't see where His time of delays are for a purpose. I am, by nature, impatient with the clock. It is a temporary disappointment but oh Joy will come in the morning or in this case at 3:00, Monday. Love ya,
nl & kac
Praying for you guys...

Hey guys....while you can trust that God's timing is perfect and that He is well aware of the delay, it doesn't mean it is easy to wait. We are praying for you and for John-Nathan because he has no idea that a wonderful family is waiting for him. Can't wait to see the pictures of "gotcha day" !!
Many prayers on your behalf...Debra Hoosier
Our prayer is when you read this you already feel refreshed & renewed in your spirits. Ps 29:11 says "The Lord will give strength unto His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace." We can only imagine how frustrating & disappointing yesterday was but are confident the stress of it will fade when you see & hold John-Nathan tomorrow! God bless you 4!! Love A. Genie & Uncle Larry
You are still in our prayers!

All Rosb's,
We are praying everyday for you all and for all of these changes in plans. The Lord will provide his perfect timing and rest for His own. His schedule is perfect and following in that will result in His perfect will...
Rom 8:26b,28
but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
(Above verse...all things work together for "good".) Even delays?
Yep.
Missing you all and JN.
(Home checks: everything OK)

Hi,
I believe that God is blessing you with a day of rest, just as He took on Sunday. May your gotcha day be all that you imagined and more. I can not wait until he is in your arms.
Love, Cathy Jerousek
PC&J,
Take advantage of the Lord's timing in this delay. All of us here in "Cyber-land" are just as anxious-or almost-as you are. The Lord has seen you through 2 years of waiting and 1 more day. Again, prayers abound for all 4 of you.
And "ditto" to all the above comments.

It is nearly Sunday here in Al as I write this - I expect it is now about 24 hours for you until the newly appointed time to meet John-Nathan. Expect the unexpected. Although it may be unforseen byus, there is One who knows it all and has anticipated the end, soon to come. May the Lord richly bless you all. Our love in HIM,
Scott & Kathy
