Cleared for Take-Off
In just a few hours from now we will head to the airport to begin the journey to the Far East (by heading west). Follow us on www.flightview.com as we take to the air Wednesday morning. Enter the following Delta flight numbers for the three legs of the trip: BHM-ATL (#1203), ATL-NRT (#295), and NRT-PEK (#617). Thanks for praying us there--our next post will be in a couple of days, with pictures of us in Beijing! (PR)

We hope you are all packed and sleeping soundly before the morning take-off. It won't be jet-fuel lifting you to the skies for your long journey to get Jack....it will be the prayers of the past year of all those who love and and can't wait to meet him, too. As we went to bed, & then woke up this a.m. Our thoughts and prayers were with & for you! Knowing you've most likely had a weary couple of days...a difficult way to start a long journey! May the Lord give "rest" to your minds & bodies on each flight, & refresh your spirits in a special way! There is a precious little boy waiting there who will revive everything in you when you lay eyes and arms on him!!! Cant wait to see pics of that!!!

Can anybody out there help us track their flight from Tokyo to Peking? I can't find it on flightview. Flight 617 says it goes from Portland, OR to Tokyo, and they're already in Tokyo. I couldn't find any flight from NRT to PEK. Any advice? Thanks! Melissa(smithfamresources@att.net)
It wouldn't be a Delta flight and don't think it works from Tokyo...they are in-flight right now...will email when they land
Checked with Delta, the flight was a continuation of the Oregan to Tokyo flight that continued on to Beijing. It landed on time at 9:30 CST!!! If they call or text me in the next hour, I will update this Blog with the information.
